At its 44th annual meeting on June 12, the Cleveland Jewish News launched a new corporate division dedicated to custom publishing: LinQ•2 Communications.

Custom publishing refers to production of communication vehicles n from tribute/milestone books for events and consumer magazines, to annual reports and directories, to sales kits and brochures n tailored specifically to the needs of a company or organization. LinQ•2 will offer services such as project management, communications planning and idea generation, writing and content development, graphic and design services, advertising sales and sponsorships, print and digital publishing, and distribution.

LinQ•2 “provides cost-effective ways for companies to reach customers through engaging communications vehicles,” CJN publisher Michael E. Bennett explained.

“What sets us apart from others is partnership and planning that are truly mindful of the client’s budget constraints,” added CEO Rob Certner. “In these tough economic times, it’s more important than ever to get your business message out there.”

LINQ·2 projects have included program books for the The Press Club of Cleveland’s annual hall of fame induction ceremony; a commemorative LinQ•2 projects have included program books for the The Press Club of Cleveland’s annual hall of fame induction ceremony; a commemorative publication for Project Love’s dinner honoring Developers Diversified Realty; “Celebrating National Engineers Week” magazine; and special publications for milestone anniversaries of the cities of South Euclid and Beachwood.

LinQ•2 will also be responsible for producing the many special supplements regarding business and organizational milestones inserted in the CJN throughout the year, such as Montefiore’s anniversary publication inserted in this week’s paper.

LinQ•2 operates as a division of The Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, but it is a separate entity from the CJN. “As a separate division, LINQ•2 provides us additional opportunities to reach a broader spectrum of general community clients than we could in the past,” Bennett explained.

Nonetheless, the new venture will still be backed by the CJN’s “more than 40 years’ experience in sales, writing and publishing,” he noted.
