Published: Thursday, October 16, 2008 3:30 PM EDT
Gary David Liston, a senior housing manager with LSC Corporation, died Oct. 11. He was 51. In 1997, Mr. Liston joined his father in forming Liston Custom Homes. He was an independent home remodeler and handyman who used his skills to make life easier for family and friends.

Mr. Liston enjoyed music, film, card games with friends, and shooting pool. He was on a first-name basis with virtually every Starbucks barista in the county, and his “QUADMAN” license plate referred to the four-espresso-shot drink he favored.

A graduate of Beachwood High School and Cleveland State University, Mr. Liston was a residential property manager for 17 years with Transcon Builders.

Mr. Liston is survived by his wife Susi (née Glassman); daughters Abby (Daryl) Royer and Betsi (Brian Knis); son Sam; parents Elaine and Martin Liston and Nina and Irv Rothman; brother Steve; and sister Sara Schrode. Contributions are suggested to WCLV Radio, National Public Radio, Hospice of the Western Reserve or The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
