If American Greetings editorial manager Alexsandra Sukhoy were to design a greeting card expressing her feelings about Cleveland, it would read: “Cleveland Is My Home.”
“And I would have a picture of me standing right in front of the Rock Hall,” she adds.
Sukhoy moved here five years ago from Rochester to work for American Greetings. “I am both right- and left-brained,” she explains. “My job allows me to use my business and creative skills to the max. It’s pure joy. plus, I work with a team of remarkably brilliant and creative people.”
This year Sukhoy purchased her first home, in Lakewood. “It is great to have a home, particularly over the High Holidays,” she says. “I had 19 people for dinner. This is the beginning of a holiday tradition for me. There will always be a place at my table for anyone who wants to share the holiday dinner with a diverse group of friends.”
A “music junkie,” Sukhoy enjoys many rock concerts that come to town as well as gigs performed by local musicians. “There is a huge creative community in Cleveland,” she says. “And the restaurant scene is fantastic. A lot of great chefs move to this city because it is such a wonderful place to raise a family – and as a new homeowner, you can’t beat the price of real estate.”
