Abby and Tom Abelson of Shaker Heights announce the engagement of their son Benjamin to Jennifer Lewkowitz, daughter of Cathy and Herman Lewkowitz of Phoenix, Ariz.
Ms. Lewkowitz, granddaughter of Shoshana and Robert Tancer, Andrea and Jerry Lewkowitz, all of Phoenix, and the late Patricia Korrick, received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish from Amherst College. She is working as an assistant for book clubs, creative direction and strategic planning at Scholastic Inc. in New York.
Mr. Abelson, grandson of Lois and Richard Goulder of Shaker Heights, Ruth Abelson of Beachwood, and the late Arthur Abelson, received his bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Amherst College. He is a research coordinator at New York University Hospital for joint disease, Division of Rheumatology.
A March wedding is planned.
