Apply for 2009 CJN internships
Interested in finding out what goes on behind the headlines at a weekly newspaper? Want to get paid while writing feature stories and community news for the Cleveland Jewish News?
If you have completed at least your freshman year of college by June 2009, you can apply online for 10-week summer internships, one of which is the Irving I. Stone internship. Deadline for preliminary applications is Friday, Feb. 27.
The CJN interns can participate in the Cleveland Hillel Foundation Summer Internship Program, which will network them with other summer interns and the broader Cleveland community while they are working in Cleveland.
To begin the application process, write a cover letter explaining why you are qualified for the position. Attach copies of any stories that have been published, and e-mail letter and clips to Janet Dery at jdery@cjn.org.
Finalists will be asked to submit a transcript and letters of recommendation, and most importantly, to complete a story assignment. To apply online, click here.
