Pamela Holstein, a receptionist at Berris Optical, died Oct. 23 in a boating accident. She was 51. Mrs. Holstein had previously worked for Glick Family Dental Practice and Chabad. She raised her daughter on her own after her husband's death.

A graduate of Beachwood High School and The Ohio State University, Mrs. Holstein belonged to Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple and Solon Recreation Center. Fond of theater, she enjoyed spending time with friends, boating and physical fitness, especially biking.

Mrs. Holstein was predeceased by her husband of 10 years, DeWayne. She is survived by her daughter Codi; parents Beverly and Dr. Sidney Glick; brothers Dr. Fred Glick and Dr. Daniel Glick. Her companion Charles "Chuck" Kaplan is believed to have also died in the Oct. 23 accident. Contributions are suggested to the Gerald DeWayne Holstein Memorial Fund at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital or to Fairmount Temple.
