Harold “Hal” Pierce passed away peacefully at Hospice by the Sea on Jan. 13, 2014, at 87 years of age. He resided most of his life in Cleveland, but moved to Florida two years ago. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Kohn), to whom he was married for over 54 years.

He was the loving father of Hunter (Sondra) of Cooper City, Fla., Amy Heather of Weston, Fla., Jon (Marilyn) Roller of Medina, Ohio, brother to Tessie Garber of Jericho, N.Y., and Ecille (Ralph) Shapiro of Silver Spring, Md.

He was predeceased by his brother, Manny Pierce of Dallas, Texas. Hal was the devoted grandfather to Jillianne and Chelsea Pierce of Orlando, Fla., and Addison, Tarah and Holland Roller of Medina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who all adored their uncle as well as all his dear friends.

He will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, warm, selfless, gentle man who put family before all else. He ran his steel business for over 65 years and was well respected by all. To reach the family, notes can be sent to: 1977 Sacramento, Weston, FL 33326.
