Cleveland will host a conference of the World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust and Descendants at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26, through Monday, Oct. 29, the event will feature plenary sessions, panels and workshops, programming tailored to Holocaust survivors and their relatives, entertainment, and an awards ceremony.
It is open to Holocaust survivors and their relatives.
Plenary speakers will include professors Mordecai Paldiel, Dr. Robert Krell, and Henry Fenichel. Other authorities set to address the event are Menachem Rosensaft, Roman Kent and Patrick Henry.
Attendees are encouraged to bring Holocaust documents, images and other artifacts so representatives of the Memorial de la Shoah of Paris, the foremost Holocaust repository in Europe, can make copies for its archives. Original artifacts are of special interest to the memorial.
Registration for the full weekend is $350 or $150 per day. The price increases to $400 after Wednesday, Sept. 26. Visit www.holocaust.org or call co-chair/Cleveland host Rose Gelbart at 216-577-0111.
