Rachel, 33, vice president at Brunswick Companies, grew up with a strong Jewish community inclduing attending a Jewish day school and wants her children to enjoy that same experience. Jewish values are part of every day life for the Orange resident and Park Synagogue member and raising her children in a Jewish home and sending them to Jewish preschool are extremely important.
What one Jewish experience of yours stands out over others?
Lighting the candles with my mom and sisters every Friday night.
Why did you choose Cleveland?
My family. There’s no other place I’d want to be.
If you were the mayor of Cleveland, what would be your highest priority?
Better public transportation from the suburbs to downtown.

Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Gross Schechter Day School, The LeBron James Family Foundation

My parents. They taught me and my sisters to always lead with integrity, to give back to the community and to always put family first.
