In celebrating “The Bar Mitzvah Year” of Rabbi Raphael and Deena Davidovich, Heights Jewish Center Synagogue held a tribute dinner and awards ceremony Sept. 16 at the Cleveland Metroparks Acacia Clubhouse in Lyndhurst. Rabbi Davidovich, a former resident of Virginia and a native of Montreal, has served both the shul and the community for the past 13 years. Steve Perlin received the Young Leadership Award and Gershon Ireland was given the Kesser Shem Tov Award. Heights Jewish Center is the longest existing Orthodox congregation in Greater Cleveland.
