Kent State University professor Hillary Stone will be awarded the Distinguished Achievement in Teaching Faculty Award, which is given to a current faculty member in the College of the Arts who showcases innovative teaching and leadership in instructional development, during the university’s Evening with the Arts event.
The event includes awards to other distinguished College of Arts alumni and faculty, as well as an evening of art, music, dance and design, according to Kent State University’s College of the Arts website. There will also be student performances and exhibitions throughout the event.
Stone is the Fashion School’s industry liaison and internship director. She works to establish and strengthen the Fashion School’s industry partners while also providing new opportunities for students and faculty. She is currently working to develop learning tools and workshops to support both international and domestic students wanting to intern or work abroad.
An Evening with the Arts is free and open to the public. Reservations must be made by Nov. 8.
