Shirley Helf Braff (nee Perlmuter), devoted mother of Gary (Joan) Helf, Judy (Les) Fishman, Nancy (Stuart) Feiner and Ronnie Helf (deceased); cherished grandmother of Betsy (Raul) Mateu, Jimmy (Stephanie) Helf, Laura Helf (deceased), Robb Fishman (Jeff Smith), Nicky (Jen) Fishman, Joey (Val) Fishman, Abbey Fishman (Michael Esposito), Adam Feiner, Michael (Jaymie) Feiner and Jill Kaplan; loving great-grandmother of Maddie, Ellory, Daniel, Sebastian, Sarah, Alex, Lucas, Austin, Brady, Cali, Cameron, Lily, Charli, Brynne and Reid; dear sister of the following deceased: Ernie and Richard Perlmuter; loving daughter of Rudolph and Celia Perlmuter; and loving aunt.

She was active in True Sisters, PVA (1st president) and volunteered at Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Meals on Wheels.

Shirley was witty, clever and smart. She always had an open ear to hear one first before offering solid advice.

She has lived in Boca Raton, Fla. for the last 30 years. When she lived in Cleveland, she was very active in the community and when she was married to Marvin Helf, they were active in the Builders Association.

She was a dear friend of Lois and Sidney Steindler and Marilyn Kleinman.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. June 20 at Zion Memorial Park Cemetery, 5461 Northfield Road in Bedford Heights. Family will receive friends immediately following services until 6 p.m. June 20 at Beechmont Country Club, 29600 Chagrin Blvd. in Orange, and from 1:30 to 5 p.m. June 21 at the home of Judy and Les Fishman, 29599 Bryce Road in Pepper Pike.
