Robert B. Goldstein (Bob), 89, of Beachwood, passed away June 6, 2019.
Born to Julius and Anne Goldstein in Cleveland on Feb. 19, 1930, A graduate of Glenville High School, he then attended The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta fraternity.
Bob married the love of his life, Rita (nee Waltzer) in December 1950 and had three daughters.
Bob was an avid and competitive tennis player and runner and used to run downtown at the Y.
Professionally, he successfully worked for more than 50 years in life insurance and was part of Penn Mutual’s Million Dollar Round table.
He loved to sing, dance, play cards, shop and travel all over the world. Bob and Rita would often spend their winters in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Additionally, Bob was caring, generous, sensitive, intelligent and compassionate. He will be remembered as a man of integrity and wisdom. He had a great sense of humor, sincere eyes, a joyous smile and a warm heart. He was always concerned about others’ happiness and would do anything for those he loved.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rita; his daughters, Linda Moore, Gail (Robert) Levitt and Judy (Bill) Gallagher; grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Schwartz, Monica (Chris) Milone, Leslie (Michael) Kohn, Ricky Levitt, Jamie (Jason) Saxon, Ryan Gallagher and Mollie Gallagher; and was the great-grandfather of 10.
Services were held June 11 at Montefiore in Beachwood.
