Florence Schreibman, 95, passed away July 27, 2019, at Wiggins Place in Beachwood. She was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area.

Born to Eva and Louis Gerson on June 12, 1924, in Cleveland, Florence graduated from Glenville High School.

Before marriage, Florence worked in her mother’s dress shop, Yvette Shop, at Cedar-Center shopping center. After marriage, she worked with her husband at Will’s Jewelers on E. 55th Street and Broadway Avenue. Years later, she was the owner/operator of West View Mobile Home Park in Doylestown, Ohio.

A member of B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, Florence was more of a philanthropist to many Jewish organizations – she even has a garden at Montefiore named after her and her husband, Wilfred. She was also involved with Jewish National Fund.

Florence had a passion for fashion, art, foreign and domestic travels and putting her business skills to work. She also enjoyed going to Boca Raton, Fla., during the winter months.

Florence was known to be very friendly. She was well-liked and respected by all that had the pleasure to meet her.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Denise, Diane, Jean, Mary and Wanda for caring for her over the years, and making sure she was happy and comfortable.

Florence is survived by her children, Stephen (Lynda) Schreibman and Linda (Stephen) Bloom; grandchildren, Scott, Jeffrey and Traci Schreibman, and Eric (Lauren), Karly (Katie) and Kevin Bloom; and great-grandchildren, William and Madelyn Bloom. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Wilfred; parents, Eva and Louis; and brothers, Harry and Philip Gerson.

Services were held July 29 at Bet Olam Cemetery in Beachwood.
