Rella Moreen Weinberger (nee Silverman), 81, died May 22, 2019, in Seattle.

Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 24, 1937, Rella’s family moved to Cleveland in 1938, where she graduated from Cleveland Heights High School.

Working as a secretary for Cleveland-area doctors, Rella was a member of Taylor Road Synagogue. She loved knitting, bridge, reading horror, her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When traveling to visit her family in Seattle, Rella would always stop at Heinen’s to pick up a nice frozen brisket because “there were no good Jewish butchers in Seattle,” and would lovingly pack it in her carry on luggage.

Rella is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Moore; grandchildren, Elizabeth Moore-Simpson and Robert Henry Moore, IV; and great- granddaughter, Everest Moreen Simpson. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband of 34 years, Zoltan Weinberger.

Services were held May 26 at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier, Wash. A small,

family-only memorial service will be held.
