We started our third day in Israel by eating breakfast in the hostel. We then drove to Tzfat where we visited an artist who finds ways to incorporate kabbalistic ideas and mathematics into his work. This was a very interesting experience and afterwards we were able to buy some of his prints. When we finished, we headed to local Sephardic and Ashkenazic temples where we learned more about the local traditions and the rich history of the area. This was really cool since we were able to compare what we just learned to some of the things we learned in the past. Later, we learned about the story of a local family that makes cheese, and we all thought it was cool to hear from a family that has been living in the area for over seven generations. We then had lunch which we bought from the local vendors and we were able to try shawarma which was amazing. Finally, we went on a hike where we swam under a waterfall which was a great experience even though we thought we might freeze to death.
