Our fourth day started with everyone packing up their bags to get ready to leave for Jerusalem. After managing to fit our items back into our bags and loading up the bus, we drove to Mt. Arbel, where we would hike with other 8th graders from Schechter. During this hike, we only had rope to hold onto while walking across the edge of a mountain. This experience was both exciting and traumatic. Next we said goodbye to our Schechter friends and enjoyed a lunch at Aroma. We then happily went to create our own chocolate and learn how it was made at Galita.
We are currently on our way to Jerusalem, which will be a two hour drive. Everyone is very excited to celebrate Shabbat at the Kotel and to stay in a nicer hotel. We will not be able to contact parents after Shabbat starts. It’s up to you to decide whether or not you are happy about that.
