We started our fifth day by walking to shul. We had a lot of fun going to a synagogue called Kol Riva, where we prayed in an enthusiastic way and sang lots of songs. We then went on a walk on a beautiful sunny day through the neighborhood of Yemin Moshe, where we learned about Moshe Montefiore, after whom the neighborhood was named. One thing we all found interesting was that there were few cars on the street because it was Shabbat. After the walk, we went back to the hotel and changed out of our nice attire. We then went to a local park where we met a lot of Israeli kids. We appreciated the different culture and people that we met. We had havdalah and sang, and ended the day at Ben Yehuda Street where we got to buy jewelry, shirts and food. We loved observing Shabbat in Jerusalem.
