CORAL COMPANY NAMES TWO TO VP ROLES: The Coral Company, a Cleveland-based real estate company, named Alexis Wellman and Madeline Osborne as vice presidents of property management.

ALDEN TO LEAD CSU ATHLETICS: Mike Alden will assume the role as senior advisor to the president of Cleveland State University for athletics Feb. 1.

LIT CLEVELAND HIRES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Literary Cleveland’s board of directors hired Christine Howey as executive director, effective Jan. 1.

CHEMICAL BANK HIRES VP: Jennifer Davis-Papa was appointed as vice president, business development officer to Chemical Bank Retirement Plan Services for the Cleveland market.

HAHN LOESER ATTORNEY HONORED AT CONTRACTORS CONFERENCE: Hahn Loeser & Parks attorney Andrew J. Natale received the Ohio Contractors Associations Distinguished Service Award. 

GERTSBURG LAW NAMED TO WEATHERHEAD LIST: The Gertsburg Law Firm was named on the 2018 Weatherhead Upstart 100 Award.

IDEASTREAM NAMES TRUSTEES: The ideastream board of trustees has elected four new members, George Droder, vice president of sales at Hynes Industries; Michael Goldberg, assistant professor in design and innovation at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management; Quentin McCorvey, Sr., principal at Nirvana Analytics LLC; and Sean Richardson, regional president of The Huntington National Bank. The following officers were also re-elected: chair Julie Adler Raskind, community leader; immediate past chair Kevin McMullen, former chairman and chief executive officer of OMNOVA Solutions, current senior advisor to private equity firms; secretary David Legeay, senior vice president and managing director of Cleveland market, Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth; and treasurer Daniel P. Walsh, Jr., CEO at Citymark Capital LLC. Larry Pollack, managing partner at Lucky Stars Partners LLC was re-elected for one-year term to serve on the executive committee. The following individuals will serve as staff officers: Kevin E. Martin, president and CEO; Mark A. Rosenberger, chief content officer; Faith N. Noble, chief financial officer; Todd Mesek, chief marketing officer; and Sylvia Strobel, chief operating officer.

BENJAMIN ROSE ELECTS OFFICERS: The Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging board of directors elected a new slate of officers for two-year terms. The new officers are chairperson Cynthia H. Dunn, community volunteer; vice chairperson and secretary Nancy A. Adams, attorney; past chairperson Emily A. Drake, partner at Fairport Asset Management; and treasurer Sarah M. Dimling, of AB Bernstein Private Wealth Management. The officers will serve through December 2020.

GERTSBURG NAMED TO COSE EXECUTIVE BOARD: Council of Smaller Enterprises board member Alex Gertsburg of the Gertsburg Law Firm LPA, has been appointed to COSE’s executive board.

CLEVES ELECTED CHAIR AT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB: Frantz Ward attorney Andrew J. Cleves was elected chair of The Bridge Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland. He has been involved with the organization since 2016.

THREE ADDED TO COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS BOARD: Richard Jones, Joshua Kramer and Jim Vail were elected to The Center for Community Solutions board of directors.

TIDE DRY CLEANERS OPENS NEW LOCATION: Tide Dry Cleaners opened a new location in Crocker Park in Westlake on Dec. 14. It is the second Cleveland location for franchise owner Chip Sherman.

GLSC CEO APPOINTED TO NASEM COMMITTEE: The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine appointed Kirsten Ellenbogen, president and CEO of the Great Lakes Science Center, to a new committee to advance science communication nationally. She is one of 16 leaders on the committee.

LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER, DESIGNER OPENS GALLERY: Cleveland photographer and designer Emily Roggenburk opened a gallery and shop at Crocker Park at 25 Main Street in Westlake.
