Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, a Texas-based chain restaurant specializing in Mexican food and margaritas, closed its Warrensville Heights location in October.

The Google result for the location lists the restaurant as “permanently closed.” The location has been removed from the restaurant chain’s website. When calling the restaurant, the phone line is also disconnected.

Stepheni Doles, training coordinator for Food Concepts International LP/Abuelo's International LP, confirmed the closure, adding a Columbus location at Easton Town Center also closed in October.

"We're sad to see our Ohio locations close in October," she said in an email. "We could just not seem to get either location in the profitable margin and therefore made the tough decision to let both of the restaurants go. ... We do appreciate your loyal patronage throughout the years."

There are no other locations in Ohio.

Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant was at 26100 Harvard Road in Warrensville Heights.
