Melt Bar and Grilled’s original Lakewood location closed April 1 for renovation and will reopen April 27 with a grand reopening celebration.

According to Matt Fish, owner and founder of Melt Bar and Grilled, the Lakewood

location originally opened on a “small budget.”

“The time is right to bring the original Melt location up to current service and guest experience expectations,” Fish said in a news release. “The main reason for the remodel is that we are completely gutting and rebuilding the kitchen with a new floor, walls and ceiling, and expanding it.”

Fish said the restaurant will also get new first floor bathrooms as the current bathrooms are in the basement, a new host stand area, server station area, exterior back entrance area, signage on the back of the building and other cosmetic updates to the bar and dining areas.

Melt Bar and Grilled has locations in Cleveland Heights, Independence, Avon, Mentor, Akron, Canton, Columbus and Dayton.
