Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour reappropriated funds intended to go towards Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life*Or L’Simcha Synagogue, the target of the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in America.

Before the Oct. 27 shooting, Sarsour fundraised $160,000 as part of an effort to repair Jewish cemeteries, of which $10,000 went to the synagogue.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, $240,000 was donated the Islamic group Celebrate Mercy, which then gave the amount to the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, a mosque with deep ties to Muslim Brotherhood-afilliated groups in the United States.

The Islamic Center said it will give $155,000 to Tree of Life with the remaining $83,634 going to “projects that help foster Muslim-Jewish collaboration, dialogue, and solidarity,” Celebrate Mercy director Tarek El-Messidi told The Forward, which was accused of whitewashing Sarsour’s latest activities.
