Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland will hold a forum, “The Intersection of Guns, Suicide and Violence: What’s Next?,” from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Sept. 15 at 21600 Shaker Blvd. in Shaker Heights.

Speakers include Ronnie Dunn, associate professor at Cleveland State University’s College of Urban Affairs; Jane Timmons-Mitchell, psychiatry professor at Case Western Reserve University and associate at Case Western’s Begun Center for Violence Prevention; and Michael Walker, executive director at Partnership for a Safer Cleveland. The moderator is Rosetta Craig, gun control specialist at LWV of Ohio.

The group will discuss if lawmakers should support gun purchase permits, background checks or “redflag” laws, and what else can be done.
