Park Synagogue’s social action committee will hold a panel discussion about “The Immigration Crisis in Our Own Backyard: How Current Policies are Impacting Cleveland Families” at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Park Synagogue East, 7500 Shaker Blvd., Pepper Pike.

Panelists include: Joe Cimperman, president, Global Cleveland; David W. Leopold, chair, immigration law group, Ulmer & Berne LLP; Elizabeth Perez, U.S. veteran and immigration activist; Chuck Horowitz Ratner, partner, RMS Investment Group; and Ilana Horowitz Ratner, founder and adviser, Cuyahoga County Immigration Legal Services Fund.

The panelists recently took a trip to the El Paso, Texas, border and detention centers in the area.
