The Ohio chapter of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces is raising money to send an ice cream truck to soldiers in mid-September.
The FIDF will send six ice cream trucks to deliver ice cream bars and sweets to as many soldiers as possible. The trucks will each distribute around
3,000 treats a day. They will bring ice cream bars to outposts and the fields where combat soldiers are trained and stationed for their duties.
Each ice cream truck distribution will cost $9,160 for three days of deliveries. The Ohio chapter of the FIDF is attempting to send at least one truck this year.
With a minimum gift of $500, donors’ names will appear on the truck. To donate, contact Ohio director Lane Schlessel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
