Rotary Club of Solon will hold a Day for Freedom Sept. 7 to raise funds for those who are homeless.

The event will include a 5k race and a fun run starting at 8:30 a..m. at Solon Community Park. In addition, a bowling party will be held at 6 p.m. at Rollhouse Entertainment. The event will raise funds to help “free those in need from hunger, homelessness, and addiction,” according to a flyer for the event, and “100% of the money raised will go to worthy causes in Northeast Ohio.”

Cost to join the run or the party is $25. Those who wish to do both will pay $40.
