Alyssa Schmitt has been named digital content producer at the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company.
Schmitt, 25, joined the CJPC in April 2017 as a multimedia staff reporter.
She will be responsible for managing the content flow for cjn.org and social media channels, and supporting the company's numerous digital and editorial efforts.
“Alyssa’s digital skills and experience as a reporter for the CJPC make her an invaluable addition to our digital team," Digital Marketing Manager Cheryl Sadler said. “Her plans for video and multimedia will undoubtedly improve our digital presence, expand our reach and help grow our overall audience.”
A graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and a minor in political science, she has worked as an audience engagement specialist at WKYC-TV following an internship there. She also was an intern at the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio Magazine and a press intern in U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan’s office in Washington, D.C.
Schmitt resides in Cuyahoga Falls.
