Rainy weather didn’t stop Solon residents from participating in National Night Out, a campaign promoting improving community-police relationships held in millions of neighborhoods across the United States. Many in Northeast Ohio were canceled due to the inclement weather. Solon Police Department and Solon Recreation Center hosted the event, which attracted about 1,000 people. Solon police emergency and SWAT vehicles were on hand and residents were able to enjoy games, raffles and food.
