A customer checks out a fur coat on sale during NCJW/Cleveland’s 2017 Designer Dress Day.

Designer Dress Days’ 51st annual sale will begin Oct. 25.

Hosted by the National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland at the Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood, the four-day sale – excluding Saturday, Oct. 26 – will feature brands such as Rag and Bone, Prada, Armani, St. John and Gucci.

Athleisure apparel, contemporary designer styles, handbags, furs and accessories will also be featured at the sale.

Nearly 8,000 items will be on display, according to a news release.

“This year we are having a celebrity-influencer rack for the first time,” said Debbie Rosenthal of Orange, vice president of retail operations for NCJW/CLE.

Actors such as Vanessa Bayer, a graduate of Orange High School in Pepper Pike, and Molly Shannon donated apparel to the event, Rosenthal said. Comedian Susie Essman and former “The Bachelor” contestant Jen Schefft Waterman, who is from Cleveland, are among others who donated.

“We’re going to have a (celebrity) rack up in front and it’s going to have a big sign,” Rosenthal said. “We thought that was kind of special and interesting.”

This year’s Designer Dress Days will also feature two daily raffles.

Proceeds of the event go toward the organization’s volunteer activities in the community, social justice work and educational programs.

According to the release, “Projects include a focus on foster care, literacy improvement and restoring dignity to sexual abuse victims as well as educational and advocacy work for women’s rights, voter rights and human trafficking survivors.”
