More than two dozen individuals were arrested in an undercover operation for soliciting sex online from undercover agents acting as teens as part of a sting operation in leading up to the MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland.
The arrests were part of “Operation Triple Play,” an undercover operation led by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced in a press release that 28 men, ranging from ages 20 to 67, are charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and importuning.
The four-day operation ran from July 6 to July 9. Among those arrested was Douglas Rosenthal, 27, of Cleveland. Rosenthal retained Larry Zukerman, a criminal defense attorney, July 10 according to the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts. Each case will be presented to a Cuyahoga County grand jury.
