Recognizing excellence in innovation and creativity in the United States and Canada retail real estate industry, the award competition focused on three categories: renovations and expansions; new developments; and retail store design. Shopping center owners, developers, management companies, architects, designers, retailers and other professionals responsible for any retail project or retail store design could apply.
During the three-day CenterBuild conference in Phoenix, Pinecrest, which is in Orange, was awarded gold in the new developments category.
“Fairmount Properties, along with our partners the DiGeronimo Cos., are honored to be recognized among so many of our outstanding industry peers with this prestigious national recognition,” Fairmount Properties principal Adam Fishman said in a news release. “This pinnacle industry award is a tribute to our transformative development, which has quickly become a central gathering place for the citizens of Northeastern Ohio to live, work, shop, dine, stay and recreate.”
Orange Mayor Kathy U. Mulcahy said she feels proud of Pinecrest’s award “on behalf of the entire region.”
“It’s exciting and gratifying and a testament to all the people involved in making the project come to fruition,” Mulcahy told the Cleveland Jewish News. “Fairmount Properties and DiGeronimo and all the architects, it’s pretty exciting.”
Fishman did not return requests for further comment.
