Skylar Dubelko has joined the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company as a staff reporter.

Dubelko, 24, was a general assignment reporter for the Daily Journal in Los Angeles for two years. Previously, she was an intern at Journal Tech in Los Angeles.

She graduated from Miami of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and interactive media studies. While in college, she was on the staff of The Miami Student, the university’s student-published newspaper, as well as working for the Oxford Patch site. Additionally, she participated in the “Oxford Weekly News,” a student-run newscast for MUTV.

“We are excited to have Skylar join our award-winning staff and anxious to have our readers become engaged in the stories she shares with them,” Managing Editor Bob Jacob said. “With her background in daily news reporting, she is a welcome addition to our staff.”

Dubelko graduated from Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, Calif.

A resident of Cleveland, she enjoys spending time with her dog.
