“Community block party” is the theme of Solon Home Days to be held from July 26 through July 28 at Solon Community Park, 6679 SOM Center Road in Solon.
The three-day event is highlighted by a parade at 1 p.m. July 28, with Bob DiBiasio, a Solon resident and senior vice president, public affairs for the Cleveland Indians, serving as grand marshal.
Home Days hours are 6 to 11 p.m. July 26, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 27 and 1 to 8 p.m. July 28.
At 9:30 July 26, the movie, “The Incredibles 2,” will be shown.
On July 27, there will be a 5k run and 1-mile walk at the community center. The 5k begins at 7:45 a.m. followed by the mile walk at 8:15. Entry fee is $20 for the run and $15 for the walk.
The Kiwanis Club of Solon will hold a pancake breakfast to benefit its scholarship fund from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the community center. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.
Home Days will include zip-lining, rides, a petting zoo, food and activities for families and children.
