Local candidates proudly wore their signs in a light drizzle mid-morning Nov. 5 outside Beachwood High School as Mayor Martin S. Horowitz cast his ballot.

Voting appeared to be light and steady there and at the Shaker Family Center in Shaker Heights, where a group of supporters also held signs for their candidates.

Grace Lin, polling location manager at Beachwood High School, said there were voters waiting outside the high school to vote at 6:25 a.m.

Candidates seemed to be jovial and collegial as voters approached.

Voters at the high school could indulge their sweet tooth with a bake sale by the Beachwood Parent Teacher Organization.
