We are excited about the Mandel Jewish Community Center’s announcement of plans to partner with Active Wellness to manage operations of its fitness, aquatics and membership services to reflect the most current trends in the fitness field. (“Mandel JCC to outsource some services,” Aug. 30)

The Mandel JCC has experienced significant growth in fitness, aquatics,

membership and other program areas. The decision to bring on Active Wellness was made to build on these successes and enhance the member experience through new and innovative programming, and delivering best-in-class service in the fitness, aquatics, and membership areas, all continuing under the Mandel JCC brand.

Our fitness, aquatics and membership staff teams will continue to work at the Mandel JCC while becoming employees of Active Wellness over the next few months. As a leader in the fitness industry, Active Wellness has a wealth of experience in managing community-based fitness centers and wellness programs throughout North America, and we look forward to the expertise they will bring to the Mandel JCC.

In such a highly complex and competitive field, it is essential that the Mandel JCC continues to deliver the most cutting-edge programs and services for current and future members and program participants. We are confident that Active Wellness will provide the innovation and expertise that is needed for continued growth of fitness and aquatics programming and service at The J.
