I have always felt that if every parochial and private school were to close their doors on the same day, tell their students to show up at their public school and stand in the classroom they would ordinarily be assigned to, this would bring home to the public how many more schools would have to be built, how many desks and supplies purchased, and how many additional teachers hired. In that case, vouchers might even be a bargain.
